SKID & HOUSE - DOUBLE WALL FUEL TANK
OBJECTIVE
Create a skid to support the existing structure on the double-wall fuel tank and a house for the double-looped kidney fuel pump system.
DESIGN

The skid is made of W10X39 beams with 1/4 thick plates for the hitch for transportation.

The hitch seen in Figure 1 is constructed with a 4.5 diameter pipe with cutouts to allow for transportation.

The skid is 8 feet wide to accommodate the diameter of the fuel tank with a tolerance. This set up will be going on a flat-bed truck.

The skid is at a length with each side having 1 foot of hitch and a 7 feet depth house.
RESULTS
The model was converted into drawings for the manufacturer and received a quote for the construction and storage of the skid and house.
